Alright, it's been exactly a year since I came back to the world of DeviantArt after an absence of something like a decade (time sure does fly). Here's a little breakdown of what happened during that time.
During the period of one year, I gained 90 new watchers
Thanks to every one of you, I'd so much like to include the avatars or names of all of you here but that's simply not very practical
I submitted 81 deviations in this time (by my count)
I can't believe it's that much, then again I moved a few of them to Scraps (when one could still do that, the option for that seems to have disappeared now. Is it because of Eclipse?), the first photomanipulations I made after a break of about ten years. They didn't turn out very good, but I think of them as practise
27 of the new submissions were lyrics. 50 of them were photomanipulations (well, one is practically mixed media, as I used only 3D renders with a photograph for a background). Four manipulations were moved to scraps. I also submitted 7 journals.
The huge number of views that A Prayer For Immortality received is due to a journal it was featured in, as is obvious when you look at the views my other deviations got. The number of favorites in The Ghost Woman And The Hunter still baffles me. I submitted it and it just exploded, gaining dozens of favs in a tiny span of time. I don't think it's my best work, but maybe something about it just spoke to people
The deviations I'm most happy with/proud of myself are probably The Music Of Erich Zann, God Has Stopped Speaking, Raven (In Your Eyes), Bloodred Butterflies, Castle Down, Shadegrown and The Asylum Opens, not counting any of the lyrics (I'm too proud of too many of them to mention, otherwise I wouldn't have submitted them. I do have a very large number of stuff I've written that I haven't submitted here. Also photomanipulations that haven't turned out that well, but I guess that's the same with all artists). Of course the ones that are based on songs very important to me are on my top list too, even if they're not technically the most amazing ones.
Well this turned out a little bit longer than I intended, but I thought it might be fun to take a look back at the previous year. Thanks so much to each and every one who has been with me on this journey, and I hope you've enjoyed watching it as much as I've enjoyed making it
And I hope you're going to enjoy what's still to come
